This notice explains how BIGBANG ITS FZE handles personal information about people who apply to work with us and about the people who work for us. It covers an application however it reaches us, and the records we keep about staff during and after an engagement. It is read together with our Privacy Policy, which it does not replace.
1. Who We Are
BIGBANG ITS FZE (“BIGBANG”, “we”, “us”) has been providing IT solutions since 2003. Our head office is at SRTIP – Block B-B57-196, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and our Dubai branch is at Business Bay, Metropolis Tower, Office 2102-2202, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at info@its.ae or on +971 4 378 2255.
2. Who This Notice Applies To
Candidates who apply to us by any route; everyone engaged on a full time, part time or freelance basis; and former candidates and staff while we still hold a record about them.
3. Information We Collect From Candidates
- Identity and contact details: your name, e-mail address and telephone number.
- Your application: the position applied for, your covering letter, your curriculum vitae and any attachment.
- Career information: education, qualifications, skills, previous employers and anything else in your CV.
- Technical information: the IP address it was sent from and the time it reached us, kept to secure that channel.
- Your confirmation: the record that you confirmed, before submitting, that you had read our Privacy Policy.
Please send only what the role calls for.
4. Information We Hold About Employees
What we hold depends on your role and engagement:
- Employment record: contract, job title, department, place of work and type of engagement.
- Right to work documents: the passport, visa, residency and identity documents an employer in the United Arab Emirates must hold, with any medical or insurance document the role requires.
- Payroll information: what we need to pay you and meet our obligations to the competent authorities.
- Work records: attendance and leave, performance and training, and any disciplinary or grievance record.
- Company systems: the accounts, mailboxes, support tickets and access logs created when you use our systems.
5. Why We Use It, and On What Basis
- To consider your application: to assess your suitability, arrange interviews and communicate with you – at your request, and in our legitimate interest in recruiting.
- To manage the employment relationship: to perform the contract, pay you and administer leave, training and day-to-day work.
- To comply with the law: to meet our labour, immigration, tax and record-keeping obligations and answer a lawful request from a competent authority.
- To protect our business: to keep our systems secure, prevent fraudulent or abusive applications and defend a legal claim.
- To consider you for other roles: while your application is still held we may consider you for a similar position; you may ask us to delete it at any time.
We do not sell the information in your application or personnel record, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. How we handle cookies and advertising tools on our websites is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. We Never Ask a Candidate for Payment
Applying to BIGBANG is free. Whatever route your application reaches us by, we take no payment at any stage: no application, processing, training, visa or medical fee, no deposit, and no bank account, payment card or wallet details; never include such details in an application. If a message uses our name and asks you for money or payment details, it did not come from us: pay nothing and report it to info@its.ae.
7. Who Can See It, and Where It Is Held
Inside the company, access is limited to the hiring manager, the department concerned, the staff who administer recruitment and personnel records, and management, and only for the purposes in section 5. Outside it, your information may reach the service providers who host and support our website and business systems, and a competent authority, court or professional adviser where the law requires it. We never share your application with another employer or pass your details to anyone for their own marketing. Information may be stored or processed outside the United Arab Emirates. We choose service providers with what we consider commercially reasonable care, seek to limit their processing to the purpose we gave them the information for, and apply technical and organisational measures we consider appropriate; no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. How Long We Keep Applications and Records
We do not keep applications indefinitely. An unsuccessful application is kept for a reasonable period after recruitment for that role closes, so that we can consider you for a similar position and answer any question arising from the decision; after that it is deleted or stripped of the details that identify you. If you would like your application removed sooner, write to info@its.ae and we will act on your request unless we are required to keep the record. Employee records are kept for the engagement and afterwards as long as the law requires and a related claim may be brought. As our Privacy Policy explains, information we must keep to resolve a dispute, enforce an agreement or meet a legal requirement may be deactivated rather than deleted.
9. Asking For a Copy, a Correction or Deletion
You may ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, for a correction, for deletion of your application or record where we need not keep it, or for a particular use to stop. Write to info@its.ae from the address you applied from, naming the position. We may need to verify your identity, and we respond without undue delay. There is no charge for a first request, although we may refuse a repeated or manifestly excessive one, or charge a reasonable fee for it. If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your application was handled or how we used your information, tell us. The channels and the timeframes are set out in our Reporting Grievances policy: an online form, e-mail, telephone and postal mail to either office. All grievances are handled confidentially, and we uphold a strict non-retaliation policy. If you are not satisfied with the outcome you may request an escalation.
11. Nothing Here Limits Your Legal Rights
Nothing in this notice limits or excludes any right you have under the mandatory laws of the United Arab Emirates, including any applicable labour and data protection law, and any other mandatory law that applies to you; where a conflict arises that law prevails and the rest of this notice continues to apply. This notice is not a contract of employment and does not oblige us to offer you a position. We may update it from time to time; the version published on this page is the one that applies.
12. Other Documents and How To Contact Us
Read this notice with our Privacy Policy. Use of our website and services is governed by our Terms of Services, and purchases by our Refund Policy. Matters of recruitment and of the employment relationship are governed by the labour law of the United Arab Emirates and by the contract of employment made with you.
